01 Present Tense – Necesitar

This lesson covers a useful verb: necesitar (to need). Thankfully, necesitar is a pretty easy one to change, but we could easily use this in normal conversation with others.

  • una guitarra – a guitar
  • un coche – a car
  • un lápiz – a pencil
  • un libro – a book
  • un perro – a dog
  • un vestido – a dress
  • unos pantalones – some pants
  • unos tenis – some tennis shoes

@Daniel Harris: You use a certain one when you are talking about certain people:

Yo necesito
Tu necesitas
El/Ella/Usted necesita
Nosotros necesitamos
Vosotros* necesitáis
Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes necesitan

*Spanish for Spain
