¡Hola! This video lesson continues with lessons on the imperfect tense in Spanish. This lesson specifically covers the regular ER / IR verbs. If you’re not sure which those are, it will be every verb except for three. The next video in this series will cover the all of the irregular verbs in this tense. Remember that we use this tense for ‘used to __‘ and ‘was/were ___ing‘
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions below!
Enjoy!

Hola,
You mentioned that Comia can mean “I ate”, but Comi also means the same right ? So are, for example Comiste and Comias interchangeable if you want to say “you ate” ?
Thanks very much !
You might want to watch my videos on the preterite vs. the imperfect where I explain that although they might translate to the same thing, they are actually quite different. 🙂
why are the yo and el endings the same?
That’s a great question. However, I think the easiest answer is the best. They just are. Be thankful that’s one less ending to learn. 😉

Hola, Sr Jordan!
Gracias!
